Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Sep, 2014 09:41 AM
In an indication of how much the virtual world has become part of our real lives, a survey has found that one in seven people in Britain has relationship with people he/she has only interacted online.

According to the survey, majority of both male and female respondents said they would not be able to live without internet access more than a day.

The survey by Europasat, a satellite broadband provider, involved 2,000 respondents in Britain.

More than a third of Facebook users have 'friends' they have never met in person, revealed the survey.

Approximately a third of the respondents said they would say things on social media that they normally would not in real life, and 24 percent of people feel more confident speaking on social media platforms.

The survey found that 44 percent of respondents used their social media accounts as a news source over actual news media, Daily Mail reported.
