Youth Bludgeoned To Death On Diwali Night In Delhi

    A youth was found bludgeoned to death in an empty plot of land here late on Thursday, police said on Friday.
     
    Deputy Commissioner of Police A.K. Singla told IANS that the body of Sandeep, 21, was found near a godown in Harsh Vihar area of northeast Delhi around 11.30 p.m.
     
    Singla said Sandeep, a daily wage labourer who lived in Mandoli area, had a fight with his friends two days back and the police is looking into personal enmity as motive for the murder.
     
    A police officer privy to the case told IANS that according to preliminary investigation, "the youth was beaten with a blunt object, probably a rock".
     
    The body has been shifted to GTB Hospital for autopsy.
     
    Police are going through CCTV footage of the area. No arrest has been made yet.
