Woman, Servant Killed During Robbery Attempt In Jalandhar

    A 50-year-old woman and her male servant were killed after being allegedly hit with hockey sticks by a group of robbers in Model Town area in Jalandhar on Tuesday, police said.
     
    The group of five to six robbers barged into the house of Sujata Handa last evening, they said, adding the woman and her servant Harish (38), however, tried to resist the robbery attempt.
     
    The robbers then hit the duo with hockey sticks, police said.
     
    While the servant died on the spot, the woman succumbed on her way to the hospital.
     
    Investigation is on in the matter, police added.
