Woman Alleges Rape In Moving Car In Delhi

    The Delhi Police on Saturday registered a case of kidnapping and rape after a 21-year old woman alleged she was raped in a moving car.
     
    Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar told IANS that a PCR call was received from a young woman between 3 a.m. to 3.30 a.m. alleging rape.
     
    "When the police team reached the woman, she narrated that a few men took her from Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station area in their car and dropped her near Indraprastha Park area in south Delhi after raping her," the official said.
     
    The police have registered a case under sections 365 (abduction) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
     
    However, the police refused to share more details as it was investigating the matter.
     
    According to a senior police official, the woman is a resident of Jagatpuri in east Delhi.
