WATCH: Video Of Monkey Barging Into Lucknow Toll Booth To Steal Money Goes Viral

IANS, 03 May, 2019 08:34 PM

The video of a monkey stealing money at a Lucknow toll booth has gone viral on social media.

It shows a white vehicle, where the man inside it rolls down the window and a monkey leaps out and steals the cash before escaping.

The CCTV footage shows a startled toll booth operator visibly shocked at the scene.

Earlier, the confused operator puts his arm up to protect himself as the monkey climbs on to his shoulders. Then he laughs and accepts money from the driver. Meanwhile, the monkey reaches around and snatches a wad of notes from the booth.

The monkey decamps with around Rs 5,000 and leaps back into the car.

The trick of using a monkey to carry out robberies was seen in a 1996 film ‘Dunston Checks In’.

The film features an orangutan named Dunston who is forced to carry out burglaries by his owner, Rutledge.
