The Don Bosco grounds in Matunga were delighted by an unusual sight on Sunday – the rector of Don Bosco High School, Matunga, in his flowing cassock, gracefully swaying to the tunes of a traditional garba.
Shared by Surendra Shetty, the viral clip features the rector of the school Crispino D’Souza, swaying along the beats and matching the garba steps with the dance group. Many people have lauded the priest not only for his dance moves but also to highlight how inclusive Indian festivals are.

St Peter’s Church, Bandra, also held a similar dandiya-garba event in Bandra, for all nine days of Navratri.
Praising Fr D’Souza’s enthusiasm, Godfrey Pimenta, member, Bombay Catholic Sabha (BCS), said, “It is a good gesture on the part of the priest in fostering new relationships with our brethren from other communities.”
