Watch: Gurgaon Man Drives Uber Taxi Home While Uber Cabbie Falls Asleep At The Wheel

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 May, 2016 11:33 AM
Ishaan Gill, a resident of Gurgaon, booked a taxi from South Delhi’s Defense Colony to his residence in DLF Phase-II.

On his way home, Gill alleged the cabbie fell asleep behind the wheel and he had to drive the vehicle himself.

He posted a 9-second video on his Facebook page, which shows the driver sleeping as Gill gently puts Rs 500 next to him.

In what he explained as a “horrific experience”, the driver fell asleep while driving and almost crashed into another vehicle.

Gill said he had asked the driver if everything is alright and driver gave an affirmative reply but also told the passenger that he had consumed some medicines.

The passenger then said that when he witnessed that the car was about to crash and the driver was asleep, it is then when he took the wheel.

He affirmed that the driver was not in a position to take the cab fare also. The passenger said that when he gave feedback to Uber they reimbursed him with a token amount of Rs. 500 and said commuters were not allowed drive company's taxi.
