Virender Sehwag Applies For Coach's Job With 'Two-Line' Resume

IANS, 06 Jun, 2017 01:07 PM
Former opening batsman Virender Sehwag sent a "two-line" resume to the BCCI while applying for the Indian cricket team coach's job, according to media reports.

Instead of sending a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), Sehwag is learnt to have sent an application, which only mentioned himself as mentor of Kings XI Punjab in the IPL while also stating that he has played with the current Indian team players.

The BCCI has asked Sehwag to send a detailed application with a full CV.

The current Indian national team coach Anil Kumble's contract ends after the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy.

Other than Sehwag, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Dodda Ganesh and Lalchand Rajput have applied for the job.

A three-member BCCI's Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman will conduct the coach's interviews.
