“The militants came to his house twice during the day but he escaped. He returned in the evening and so did militants, this time to nab him,” a local source said.

Less than twelve hours after the killing, the video of the act has surfaced over social media in the Valley.

A terrified Nadeem can be seen sitting with his back to the militants, who urge him to speak assuring him that they were not going to kill him.

The militants are not visible in the video but can be heard. As Nadeem apologises for unknown reasons, the angry militants ask, “What had our Abrar and Soban done to you.”

They, however, do not wait for an answer and shoot Nadeem multiple times.

The video has sent shockwaves across Kashmir for this is the first time ever that the militants have released such a video.

A police officer confirmed the killing and said an FIR has been registered and that the matter is being investigated.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched search operations to trace the killers.
