This Indian Boy Hasn't Taken A Day Off From School For The Last 14 Years

    Faking a fever, moaning about a tummy ache - when it comes to pleading a day-off from school, we've all tried to come up with innovative excuses. Putting us all to shame is Bhargav Modi, who hasn't missed a single day at school from Upper KG to 12th grade.
     
     
    A student at P R Khativala Vidyasankul, Bhargav has attended school for 2906 days, with no absences on record for the last 14 years. India World Record, Unique World Record, India Star Book of World Record and India Book of Records has taken note of Bhargav's feat.
     
     
    Interestingly, the previous record was held by Bhargav's elder brother Vatsal, who attended the school without a miss for 2537 days.
     
     
    In an exclusive interview with iamgujarat.com, Bhargav said, "I love going to school. I feel Sunday is sufficient. I never felt that I need more holidays. I feel glad that I have set an example for other students who have also started coming regularly to the school."
     
     
    Relating an incident, Bhargav said his school bus once met with an accident and turned turtle. He sustained several injuries to his face. Instead of going to the doctor, he and his brother went directly to the school. He added that he did not miss school even if he had a fever.
     
     
    Of course, his parents and teachers are proud of Bhargav, who passed out of school with a diploma in Commerce.
     
     
    School authorities unanimously said, "Both Bhargav and Vatsal have made the school proud. Other students have also started coming to school regularly after watching them."
