Sushma Swaraj discharged from AIIMS

Darpan News Desk IANS, 15 May, 2016 11:42 AM
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was on Sunday discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here, where she was admitted last month after complaints of chest congestion and high fever.

AIIMS senior doctors said that though Swaraj has been discharged, she will have to undergo routine check-ups.

"Swaraj was being treated for pneumonia as well as chest congestion and infection which had triggered other health issues too. However, she is fine now and was discharged today (Sunday)," a senior doctor told IANS.

The 64-year-old union minister was admitted to the AIIMS three weeks ago. She was undergoing treatment at the cardio-neuro centre.
