Stopped From Consuming Liquor, Karnal Teen Stabs Father To Death

    A 15-year-old boy allegedly killed his father by stabbing him with a pair of scissors after he was stopped from drinking liquor late Tuesday night in Prithvi Vihar in the city.


    The deceased has been identified as Somnath (40).


    The two had an altercation when the son came home late night after consuming liquor. The altercation turned violent and the boy allegedly stabbed attacked his father with scissors.


    Somnath was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors, Sadar SHO Baljeet Singh said.


    He added that a case under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered against the boy who continues to be at large. Efforts are on to nab him.
