Stone Hurled At Arvind Kejriwal At Public Meeting

IANS, 27 Dec, 2014 01:07 PM
A youth in his mid-20s Saturday hurled a stone at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal at a public gathering here, a party member said.

An Aam Aadmi Party source told IANS that the incident occurred around 6.45 p.m when Kejriwal was addressing a gathering in south Delhi's Deoli area.

However, the stone did not hit Kejriwal as the stage was at a distance from the sitting area for the public.

The youth was immediately apprehended by police and taken to the Neb Sari police station.

Immediately after the incident, Kejriwal tweeted, "One person threw a stone at me in deoli jansabha today. BJP so scared? Resorting to violence? I wish well for the boy who did it."

"We have no bad wishes for people who hurl shoe and stones at us, we wish them all the best," he further tweeted.
