New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) The anti-human trafficking unit of Delhi Police has busted a sex racket being operated from a spa centre in the national capital and arrested 11 women, including a receptionist and the owner of the centre, an official said on Monday.
A police team was constituted to verify a complaint against a spa and massage centre for allegedly running a prostitution racket in Delhi.
"After preliminary investigation, a trap was laid by sending a decoy customer to the Wellness Spa Centre in Green Park. Eleven women were produced by the receptionist before the decoy customer for paid sex," DCP Deepak Yadav said.
All the 11 women along with the owner of the spa, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, were arrested.
Suggesting Kejriwal to keep himself up to date, the minister said the state government has already executed the Punjab Anti-Red Tape Act of 2021 to promote effective administration of public affairs through simplified and trust-based procedures that shall expedite processes and make governance efficient.
A senior party functionary said that the fact that the BJP has never been in power in Punjab on its own, this time the party is leaving no stone unturned and the central leadership is regularly reviewing the poll preparedness of the state unit
The police had been conducting raids to arrest Ankit Das who is the nephew of former MP, late Akhilesh Das. A notice had been pasted at his residence residential address in Lucknow.
