School Teacher Allegedly Raped Teen Twice By Threatening To Fail Her In Rajasthan

    A teacher of a government school allegedly raped a 15-year-old student twice by threatening to fail her in exams in Mirjapur village in Kota, police said today.
     
    The victim's parents on Thursday filed a complaint against Vishendra Kumar Meena, a sanskrit teacher at a senior secondary school, accusing him of raping their daughter twice, they said.
     
    "The Class XI student was raped on two different occasions," SHO at Anta police station Hemant Gautam said.
     
    "The accused has been put on Awaiting Posting Order (APO) and was asked to be present on-duty at the DEO office in Kota," District Education Officer(DEO)- Baran, Pachuram Saini said.
     
    A case has been lodged against Meena at the Anta police station. He has been booked under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, officer Gautam said.
     
    The teacher is yet to be arrested, the SHO said. Following the report, the DEO reached the school and inquired about the matter.
     
    "I have also met the victim's friends and parents," DEO Saini said, adding the victim has alleged that the teacher threatened to fail her in exams over phone.
