"Modiji has attracted the world by contesting from Varanasi and all of us are working to do justice to Varanasi and the entire Poorvanchal. We are committed to giving a fresh impetus to the cottage industry and weavers in this region, and a new identity," he said.

Mishra added attention will be given to the world-acclaimed Benarasi sari and the carpets of Bhadohi, a suburb of Varanasi.

New schemes are being worked on and fresh initiatives will be announced soon, the minister added.
