Rohtak Woman Booked For ‘Hurling’ Slipper At Navjot Sidhu

    The police have registered a case against one Jitender Kaur, a resident of Gandhi Camp area in the town, on charge of hurling a slipper at Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu during a recent poll meeting at Rohtak.


    An FIR under Section 127 of the Representation of People Act and Section 504 of the IPC has been registered in this regard on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Rohit Singh, a local.


    A woman had hurled a slipper while Sidhu was addressing a public gathering in the Gandhi Camp area in support of Congress nominee from Rohtak recently, though the slipper could not reach the stage.
