Punjabi singer known for his melodious voice Diljaan Singh has passed away at 31. According to media reports his life came to an abrupt and tragic end in a road accident at Jandiala Guru on Monday.

Police say he was on his way to Amritsar from Jalandhar. Unfortunately before he could reach Amritsar tragedy struck and his vehicle collided with a truck parked on the roadside. He was taken to hospital right away but was declared dead before arriving at the hospital.

Singh started his musical journey via the show Sur Kshetra. He was the winner among 4000 of those who auditioned. The show gave him a platform to showcase his talent and this was the stage where he also performed Hindi songs for the first time. He was also a participant in the musical show Awaj Punjab di.

He was the highlight of the evening at Darpan Awards 2017 as he stole hearts with his mesmerizing and soulful evening performance. His singing was appreciated by the audience very much. He was attracted by Sufi singing and light Bollywood music. He also released an album called Yours Diljaan. He also wanted to work in films. A young promising talent gone too soon.
