Punjab sets up helpline for Indians stuck in Ukraine

Chandigarh, Feb 25 (IANS) The Punjab government on Friday said it has set up a dedicated round-the-clock control room to help people from the state stuck up in war-hit Ukraine.
An official spokesperson said the affected people or their relatives could call from within Punjab on helpline number 1100 and others from outside India on +91-172-4111905 for seeking information in this regard.
The queries on the helpline numbers would be immediately forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs for evacuation of persons.
Following a tipoff, the DRI sleuths swooped on the port on October 4 and detected the huge narcotics contraband, valued at Rs 125 crore, among boxes of a cooking oil container arriving from Iran and are now probing the possibility of a bigger drug smuggling racket with international ramifications for India and other countries.
