Punjab sets up helpline for Indians stuck in Ukraine

Chandigarh, Feb 25 (IANS) The Punjab government on Friday said it has set up a dedicated round-the-clock control room to help people from the state stuck up in war-hit Ukraine.
An official spokesperson said the affected people or their relatives could call from within Punjab on helpline number 1100 and others from outside India on +91-172-4111905 for seeking information in this regard.
The queries on the helpline numbers would be immediately forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs for evacuation of persons.
Director General of Police, Punjab, Dinkar Gupta said that following inputs regarding drone activity in the area, a massive combing operation was launched.
