Punjab Polls: Jaspal Bhatti's 'Nonsense Club' Announces Special Tuitions For Voters

Darpan News Desk IANS, 04 Oct, 2016 12:54 PM
Taking a dig at the mushrooming political parties and leaders in Punjab ahead of the assembly elections, the late Jaspal Bhatti's "Nonsense Club" on Tuesday announced special tuitions for voters.

"These classes were the need of the hour. Each day there is a new turn of events. One day a leader is in one party, the next day he is in a different party and on the third day he's in another party.

One day he's criticising a leader, the other day he's standing next to that leader calling him the 'saviour of Punjab'. The voter is highly confused," club-member Savita Bhatti said while inaugurating the coaching centre here.

"Keeping this chaos in mind, the 'Nonsense Club' will give daily updates on which leader is currently in which party to the batches of voters," she said.

Vinod Sharma, one of the founding members of the club, said: "There is a big rush. All batches are booked."

"Keeping in mind the deteriorating mental health of the people, the 'Nonsense Club' will also distribute 250 grams of almonds to every student," said Savita Bhatti.

She said that many animal scientists have contacted them regarding the 'colour-changing tactics' of our leaders.

"We will be giving them all the information about our 'dal badlu' (Leaders who regularly change parties) leaders to help them in the detailed study of chameleons," she said.

Sharma said that the club will also help politicians.

"The leaders will be taught to play 'Snakes and Ladders' and 'Ludo' where they will learn how to identify the people who can bite them or help them to climb up the ladder in the current political scenario," he said.
