Punjab Poilce’s Morinda ASI Gurmeet Singh Shoots Self In Suicide Bid, Dies

    An ASI attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon at his home in the police station complex. The victim, Gurmeet Singh (52), was taken to the PGI, where he died.


    According to SSP Swapan Sharma, before his posting at the lcoal police station following his promotion, Gurmeet mostly remained deployed with the Police Control Room or as personal security officer.


    He was reportedly finding it difficult to cope with the work pressure at the police station and was in stress following which he shot himself in the evening, said the SSP.
