  • Pakistan Army violates ceasefire in Jammu
The Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, an official said Wednesday.
 
"The Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing at our positions in Hamirpur sector during the night," defence spokesman Colonel Manish Mehta told IANS here. 
 
He said the firing in Rajouri district of the Jammu region started around 9 p.m. local time Tuesday and continued till 9.20 p.m.
 
"Our troops retaliated effectively using small arms and automatic weapons," the spokesman said.
 
He said no casualty or damage has been reported on the Indian side so far.
