No Point In Taking Aim, When Your Cartridges Are Empty, Tweets Sidhu To SAD MLAs

Darpan News Desk IANS, 14 Dec, 2018 11:16 PM

Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday said that there was no point in targeting him over his alleged failure to deliver as the local bodies minister as the opposition’s allegations and threats were “flat”.

Tagging a story published in The Tribune, Sidhu tweeted: “No point taking aim if you are loaded with blanks, empty cartridges don’t fire ?? - big boast small roast !! There was nothing - No attack, the threat was flat... as flat as a pancake ?? Khataaak !!!”

The Akali-BJP MLAs had on Thursday decided to target Sidhu in the Assembly today. The MLAs proposed to raise issues concerning the Local Bodies Department and the minister’s alleged inability to deliver.

They had also planned to rake up the issue of the Amritsar train tragedy, which took place during a Dasehra function where the minister’s wife was the chief guest.

Sources in the SAD had said they proposed to take up the issue of poor civil infrastructure in areas managed by urban local bodies, mainly due to paucity of funds as well as the minister’s decision to not allot tenders for various road projects.
