The Congress on Saturday condemned the incidents of waving of Pakistani and Islamic State (IS) flags in Srinagar as it termed the Narendra Modi-led NDA government's Pakistan policy is not only "directionless", but an "international joke".
"The BJP with all its rhetoric on nationalism is failing to handle Jammu and Kashmir day by day and has adopted a completely directionless and embarrassing policy towards dealing with Pakistan," senior party leader R.P.N. Singh said here in a press conference.
"Modi sarkar has made India's Pakistan policy not only directionless, but an international joke," he added.
Demanding answers from Prime Minister Modi, Singh asked whether the NSA level dialogue will still go on after the repeated ceasefire violations on the border.
"The prime minister must spell out clearly what India has achieved by this so-called Joint Statement with Pakistan, when Pakistan continues to backstab us in the past 15 months," he said.
He also said that Congress strongly condemns any attempts to disturb the peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
