A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stalking a TV actor, a senior police official said on Wednesday.
Abdul Sheikh, the accused, allegedly followed the woman actor in his car in suburban Khar area. He also allegedly abused her using filthy language the actor said in her complaint.
Sheikh was arrested under IPC sections 354 (D) (stalking) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), said DCP Paramjit Singh Dahiya.
The man's actions were allegedly intended as punishment for the children for "uprooting radishes" from his farm.

"Four big jewellers -- Gitanjali, Ginni, Nakshatra and Nirav Modi -- are under scanner. The CBI and Enforcement Directorate is looking at their arrangements with various banks and end use of money," a senior official of a public sector bank told.
An agency spokesperson said Parvez alias Farru, who had been on the run, was arrested last night from his house in Kotwali area in Meerut.
"At that time, Nehru-Ji wrote a letter to Guru Golwalkar (then RSS chief MS Golwalkar) seeking RSS volunteers' help," Uma Bharti said.
According to a police officer, the man had objected to his wife talking on the mobile phone, which triggered a verbal altercation.
