MP: Preparations begin for Priyanka's June 12 Jabalpur rally

Bhopal, May 12 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Congress unit on Friday kicked-started its preparation for a mega rally of party leader Priyanka Gandhi in Jabalpur on June 12.
Veteran leader and vice president of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Chandraprabhash Shekhar told IANS that it would be a mega event, which will set the tone for the Assembly polls due this year end.
Former minister Shekhar, who is in charge of the preparation, will hold a meeting with party's leaders and workers from Mahakaushal region. "I will be visiting Jabalpur on May 20 and hold discussion regarding the event."
He further said that the Congress will highlight its proposed financial scheme for women- "Nari Samman Yojna" and the party's national general secretary would appeal to women voters to extend their support to the party.
Madhya Pradesh's Mahakaushal region has 38 Assembly seats and the Congress had won 24 of them prompting the Central BJP leadership to focussed in the region.
The official said that further to identify other members of the drug syndicate, the officers laid a trap and apprehended the recipient of the said contraband drugs. The recipient came from Hyderabad to Mumbai to collect the drugs. This person was further supposed to deliver the drugs to an African person in Navi Mumbai.
In a statement here, the Chief Minister said the drug trade which had flourished during the previous Akali-BJP and the Congress regime had ruined the future generations of the state.
Troopers of Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army and BRO personnel under 'Project Swastik' swung into action immediately, and launched an all-out rescue mission. A Delhi Police official said that one of the buyers was a liquor mafia group led by Sumit Anangpur from Faridabad, which purchased stolen luxury cars worth around Rs 20 lakh each, for just Rs 3-4 lakh and used them to hoodwink the agencies to transport foreign liquor to Bihar.
