Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani today said several development initiatives taken by the Narendra Modi government have now started showing results.
"The people of the country have made a chai-wala the Prime Minister who had taken many decisions in the nation's interest and to make India a corruption-free country.
"Under Clean India mission, large number of toilets have been constructed in Rajasthan, which is commendable," Ms Irani said while addressing a function to mark two-years of the Narendra Modi government in office in Sriganganagar district.
Schemes and programmes initiated by the Centre have now started showing results, she said, adding that on the call of the PM over one crore people have given up their subsidy on LPG gas cylinders.
Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan, Rajasthan PHED minister Kiran Maheshwari, BJP state president Ashok Parnami were also present.
