Man, Son Shot Dead As Cong, Shiromani Akali Dal Workers Clash In Ferozepur Village

    Two SAD workers were shot dead, allegedly by Congress supporters, over an issue related to post of sarpanch at Rukan Shah Wala village, 20 km from here, on Tuesday morning.
     
    The deceased have been identified as Harnam Singh (80) and son Joginder Singh alias Bubby (45). The younger son, Balwinder Singh, was also injured. Balwinder is the district vice president of SAD (Rural).
     
    The incident took place around 7 am when 10-15 armed people attacked the residence of Balwider. In the shooting, his father and brother were killed on the spot while Balwinder took a bullet in his foot.
     
    As soon as the matter was reported, the police officials reached the spot. The attackers, however, managed to escape. The police are investigating the matter.
