Man Hacks Teen For Allegedly Refusing His Advances In Maharashtra

    A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering a girl in Maharashtra's Virar after she rejected his advances, police said today.
     
    The incident took place yesterday when the 19-year-old victim had gone to see her boyfriend at the accused's house in Virar where they used to regularly met, but her boyfriend was not there, Virar police station Inspector Yunus Shaikh said.
     
    The accused man Deepak Waghe, who was a friend of woman's boyfriend, tried to sexually assault her. When she fought him, he allegedly attacked her with an axe.
     
    The victim died on the spot and later in the day the accused was arrested. He has been charged under sections 302 (murder), 511 (attempt to commit an offence) of the Indian Penal Code. The officer said that the accused was brought to the police station by girl's boyfriend.
