Man dies after car falls from under-constructed Delhi flyover

New Delhi, May 29 (IANS) A 42-year-old man died after his car fell from an under-constructed flyover in Delhi's Barapulla Extension area, a police official said on Monday.
The incident took place May 26 and the deceased was identified as Jagandeep, a resident of Krishna Nagar area.
According to the police, information was received that a car had fallen from the flyover.
"On the spot, one WagonR car was found in an accidental condition and a man was lying unconscious on the driver's seat. The man was taken out from the car and then rushed to the LBS Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival," said the senior police official.
"The family members of Jagandeep disclosed that he was an employee at a private company in Noida for the last 15 years. On Friday May 26, he went to his office at 10 a.m."
A case under section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Mayur Vihar-1 police station, the official added.
On July 22, 2022, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) directed the CBI to initiate a case in the excise scam. Sources claim that from that day onwards, Sisodia started using a new mobile phone. A spokesperson for the police said, a police team was deployed at the bus stand in Badhra. On learning that four people with illegal weapons were roaming in a car, the police raided the location and arrested them. The accused have been identified as Ankit, Ajay, Ashuraj and Ravindra.
The alleged manhandling of the woman has sparked statewide protests by the farmers against the acquisition of land for the Bharatmala project. Hundreds of activists of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) squatted on railway tracks at several towns and blocked rail traffic over inadequate compensation for the land acquired for the project.
The Customs officials at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Thursday seized 4.2 kg gold valued at Rs 2.28 crore, and detained a man in this connection. A senior Customs officer said that the accused arrived at Mumbai Airport from Muscat.
