Kejriwal Congratulates Modi, Seeks To Work Together For Delhi

Darpan News Desk IANS, 23 May, 2019 08:18 PM

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and said that he looks forward to work together with him for the city's people.

"I congratulate Narendra Modi for this historic win and look forward to working together for the betterment of the people of Delhi," the Aam Aadmi Party chief said in a tweet.

The BJP is leading on 303 seats, including all seven seats in Delhi.

Earlier in the day, the AAP congratulated the saffron party for its victory and said it hopes that Modi would do good work in his future tenure.

Meanwhile, as terror accused BJP's Pragya Singh Thakur led the contest in Bhopal, the AAP said it is time for the people to introspect.

"The one who called Mahatma Gandhi's assassin a 'patriot' has reached the Parliament and we all remain mute spectator. This is the time for the people to introspect," AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said in a tweet.
