Indian Girl, 17, Forced To Give Birth On Street, Filmed Moments After

IANS, 28 Aug, 2017 01:15 PM
In a shocking incident, a pregnant teen was forced to deliver baby on the streets after she was abandoned by her boyfriend and family. She was reportedly also turned away by the health centre.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Saraikela-Kharsawan district in Jharkhand. The 17-year-old was involved with a guy from her village. However, he left her after she got pregnant.

Even her family deserted her. The hapless girl, according to reports, was living on the streets for the last four months.

Recently when she arrived at the local health centre, Chandil Sub-Divisional Hospital the staff there turned her away as she was not accompanied by a guardian. The girl later delivered the baby on the street, some 30 metres away from the hospital.

A passer-by helped the teen out and shifted her to Mahila Suraksha Gruha.
