India Denies Reports Of Its Submarine Near Pakistani Waters

  • India Denies Reports Of Its Submarine Near Pakistani Waters

India has denied reports of an Indian submarine spotted near Pakistani waters, saying the Pakistani claims regarding this are incorrect.

Official sources said here on Tuesday that Pakistan is seeking to divert attention from India’s focus to act against terror.

Pakistan is doing it so that its media do not ask questions as to what happened and what was its military doing when the Balakot attack took place, they said.

In a statement later on Tuesday, the Indian Navy accused Pakistan of “spreading misinformation”.

“Pakistan is indulging in false propaganda and spread of misinformation. The Indian Navy does not take cognizance of such propaganda. Our deployments remain undeterred,” the statement said.

If Pakistan claimed that it shot a Sukhoi-30 where is the debris, its pilots or even their mortal remains, sources asked. As far India is concerned all its Sukhois are accounted for, official sources added.

The video of the submarine is old and was circulated after November 18, 2016, they claimed.

They said it was important to hold Pakistan to its word reiterated by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Quereshi in interviews of not allowing its soil to be used to launch terror attacks against any country, including India.

India launched a diplomatic offensive to get JeM chief Masood Azhar listed at the UN Security Council and was sharing information with every country, including all members of the UN Security Council.
