Haryana: Girl Stabbed To Death By Man After She Refused His Marriage Proposal

    Upset over his offer for marriage being spurned, an enraged youth brutally stabbed a college student to death in this Haryana town on Wednesday, police said.
     
    The victim, identified as Pooja, had come to the fast food joint located near the old court complex in Hisar, around 265 km from Chandigarh.
     
    Police officials said that the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.
     
    The accused, Naveen, was nabbed by other people in the fast food joint and handed over to police, who arrested him.
     
    Police said that both had come to the eating joint and had ordered snacks. However, enraged when the girl refused his offer for marriage, Naveen went to the the kitchen, picked up a knife there, came back and stabbed her.
     
    The youth had allegedly been stalking the victim for some time. Both were residents of the Railway Colony in Hisar, police added.
     
    However, the accused told police that he had an affair with the girl.
