Chandigarh, June 12 (IANS) The Anti-Gangster Task Force of the Punjab Police has arrested gangster Harpreet Singh, a close associate of fugitive gangster Goldy Brar and mastermind of Pardeep Singh murder case of Kotkapura, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Monday.
On November 12, 2022, six gangsters had killed Pardeep Singh.
An FIR was registered under provisions of the India Penal Code (IPC), the Arms Act and UAPA.
The accused has been identified as Rahul, alias Akash, of Ferozepur. The police have also booked his close associate, Sukh, alias Subash. Both are history-sheeters and have been facing criminal cases of crimes, including double murder, attempt to murder and possessing arms.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Badal on Friday accused the AAP government in Punjab of trying to muzzle the voice of media ever since it assumed power. Notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was transferred from Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat to Delhi's Mandoli Prison in the early hours of Thursday. The decision to lodge Bishnoi to Mandoli jail was taken due to security concerns, a senior prison official said.

Two children of a Superintendent of Police are victims of drug abuse and this affected his family life too. There has to be a serious check to prevent this rampant drug abuse, which is alarming."
