Ex Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, who tested positive for Covid-19 was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi underwent a “life-saving surgery".

In a medical release the hospital said that a brain clot was discovered after which the surgery was conducted. “Post surgery he continues to remain critical on ventilator support". Mukherjee made the announcement via Twitter Monday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus disease.

The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee expressed concern over Mukherjee's tweet and took to social media to send him her good wishes for his recovery.
