Delhi teacher arrested for molesting five students

    A 35-year-old school teacher was Tuesday arrested here for molesting five girl students in the school premises, police said.
     
    Music teacher Vijay Kumar was arrested following a violent protest by guardians of the students, aged between 13 and 15 years, outside the government school in Mahendra Park area of west Delhi.
     
    Police said family members of the students gathered outside the school and demanded action against the teacher. The angry relatives also pelted stones at the school building, in which a police constable was injured.
     
    According to police, Kumar molested the girls during music class Monday.
     
    Their parents came to know when the girl narrated their ordeal at home, said a police official.
     
    Senior police officials somehow managed to calm the angry relatives and assured them of action. Kumar was arrested from his home in west Delhi.
     
    Police also detained 16 people for creating ruckus outside the school and booked them for rioting.
