New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) Delhi on Tuesday reported 83 fresh Covid infections and one death in the last 24 hours, as per the government health bulletin.
Meanwhile, the positivity rate of the city has risen to 5.83 per cent. The number of active cases stands at 270 out of which 179 patients are being treated in home isolation.
With 21 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries so far has gone to 19,81,293, while the total caseload is 20,08,087 and the death toll in the city stands at 26,524.
A total of 1,423 new tests -- 874 RT-PCR and 549 Rapid Antigen - were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 4,07,69,154 while 127 vaccines were administered - 33 first doses, 49 second doses, and 45 precaution doses.
The total number of cumulative beneficiaries vaccinated so far stands at 3,74,03,794 according to the health bulletin.
Earlier in the day, the court deferred hearing in Sisodia's bail application for March 21, in the same case being probed by the CBI. Special CBI Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Courts has ordered Sisodia to be produced before court on March 17 at 2 p.m.
The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday recovered an AK series rifle along with two magazines and 40 rounds of ammunition from a field in Gurdaspur sector after shooting down a drone. During the search, BSF troops found a hexacopter along with the weapon and ammunition.
The Chief Minister said the government has so far given 26,797 jobs to youth, adding that the budget stipulates to regularly recruit and create an ecosystem for private jobs for Punjabis to check brain drain.

The Indian Army has recently cleared 108 vacancies for women officers to take command of independent units in the Corps of Engineers, Ordinance, EME and other branches following which Col Geeta Rana took charge of the EME unit. Women officers will now be able to command many different units of the army.
