Delhi Police arrest editor of NewsClick; seize phones, laptops of journos

Police in New Delhi, India have arrested the editor of a news website and its human resources chief after raiding the homes of journalists working for the site and seizing their laptops and cellphones.
NewsClick has been critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist-led government.

The governor’s letter was in response to the Chief Minister’s assertion two days back that it is “very unfortunate” that the Governor “does not know whether the June 19-20 session was legal or illegal”. The Governor also warned the AAP government that he has been receiving complaints of corruption.
