Delhi Police arrest editor of NewsClick; seize phones, laptops of journos

Police in New Delhi, India have arrested the editor of a news website and its human resources chief after raiding the homes of journalists working for the site and seizing their laptops and cellphones.
NewsClick has been critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist-led government.

Over 10,000 police personnel have been deployed in and around the historic Mughal-era Red Fort from where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on Independence Day, a Delhi Police official said on Monday.
At least 41 people were killed and 13 went missing on Monday owing to heavy rainfall that triggered statewide flash floods and landslides, officials said.
