Delhi Police arrest editor of NewsClick; seize phones, laptops of journos

Police in New Delhi, India have arrested the editor of a news website and its human resources chief after raiding the homes of journalists working for the site and seizing their laptops and cellphones.
NewsClick has been critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist-led government.

According to the police, the children had gone to take bath in the pond located between Methan and Sarawan villages. The deceased, all aged between five and 10 years, were the children of farm labourers working in the area. The Income Tax Department on Wednesday said it recently carried out search and seizure operations on several groups engaged in healthcare services by running hospitals. A total of 44 premises were covered during the search action in Delhi-NCR.
