Delhi Police arrest editor of NewsClick; seize phones, laptops of journos

Police in New Delhi, India have arrested the editor of a news website and its human resources chief after raiding the homes of journalists working for the site and seizing their laptops and cellphones.
NewsClick has been critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu nationalist-led government.

The Shiromani Akali Dal on Friday asked the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab to list development works initiated by it as well as disclose capital assets created to justify the "unprecedented" borrowing of Rs 39,200 crore for nine months of the current fiscal with Rs 14,700 crore being borrowed for the third quarter.
