Canadian Olympians, past and present, attend RIO 2016 Olympic Games Event at OMEGA Vancouver Boutiqu

    OMEGA played host Tuesday evening to three Olympic medallists, VIP Customers and other special guests at a Brazilian-themed party to celebrate OMEGA’s role as Official Timekeeper of the RIO 2016 Olympic Games. Canadian Olympians Kaylyn Kyle (Soccer – Bronze medallist – London 2012), Ryan Cochrane (Swimming, Silver medallist – London 2012, Bronze medallist – Beijing 2008), Simon Whitfield (Triathlete, Gold medallist – Sydney 2000, Silver medallist – Beijing 2008) and invited guests enjoyed traditional Brazilian food, culture and music in the OMEGA Olympic Games Boutique at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Vancouver.
     
    OMEGA president and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann said that his brand was privileged to be associated with such prominent and inspiring Olympic Games athletes adding, “It’s wonderful to be able to celebrate their success in this city that has so many great Olympic Games memories for all of us at OMEGA and for everyone who is passionate about sport.”   
     
    OMEGA presented each of the three Olympians with a Seamaster Diver 300M wristwatch to honour their outstanding performances.  As well, launching in July will be a commemorative timepiece, celebrating the RIO 2016 Olympic Games.  The new OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M ‘Rio 2016’ Limited Edition is a combination of watchmaking expertise and unique craftsmanship inspired by Rio’s famous beaches.  It will be limited to 3016 pieces and available at the OMEGA boutique.
     
    OMEGA has a global reputation both for its quality timepieces and as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games, a role it has assumed 26 times since 1932.
