  • Canadian MP Rameshwar Singh Sangha Ducks Questions On Radicalism In Canada
Canadian MP Rameshwar Singh Sangha today evaded a direct reply on Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s demand to rein in radical elements in Canada. Sangha, a Member of Parliament from Brampton Centre, Canada, was in the holy city to pay obeisance at Golden Temple.

During media interaction, when Sangha was asked about the Punjab Chief Minister’s suggestion, Sangha said, “Ask Capt Amarinder Singh. He knows better.”

After visiting Golden Temple, he told mediapersons that he was on a personal visit. “I am concerned about the issues of Punjab. So I met the Chief Minister and discussed about the education, trade, industry, medical facilities, science and innovations. We are keen to join hands with Punjab for the betterment,” he said.

Talking about the new immigration rules, he said, “The Canadian government is now strict on immigration frauds. Genuine people are welcomed. Youth should to follow the right path for immigration.”

“I am here to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Golden Temple is the holiest place in the word and I often come here during my visit to Punjab,” he added.

It is worth mentioning here that at a recent meeting in New Delhi, Capt Amarinder Singh had stressed that Canada should rein in radical elements trying to use its land to spread divisiveness in India.

Rameshwar Singh Sangha, 72, is a leader of the Liberal Party. Jandu Singha in Jalandhar is his native village.
