Boyfriend Rapes Woman With Friends On Valentine's Day In Delhi, Held

Darpan News Desk IANS, 14 Feb, 2015 01:38 PM
An employee of a private company has been arrested for raping his 25-year-old woman friend along with his two associates, police said here Saturday.

The victim lodged the complaint against the accused Friday evening in Vasant Kunj police station in south Delhi.

Police said the victim was gang raped by her boyfriend Amit and his two friends inside a room in Rangpuri Pahari area in south Delhi Friday.

Amit, in his 30s, was arrested late Friday night while his friends are still on the run, an official said.

"Both -- the victim and her boyfriend Amit -- live in the slums of Rangpuri Pahari. Amit works as a delivery boy in a private company. They have been in love for the last one year," the official said.

In her complaint, the victim told police that Amit took her to a room in Rangpuri on the pretext of celebrating Valentine's Day (Feb 14), where she was given a cold drink laced with sedatives.

"After taking the cold drink, I lost consciousness. When I regained consciousness, I was raped," the victim told police.
