Bikram Singh Majithia Mocks At Capt By Distributing Dummy Smartphones To MLAs

Darpan News Desk IANS, 14 Feb, 2019 09:53 PM

SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Thursday distributed free dummy smartphones to MLAs cutting across party lines.

Majithia did this to mock at Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh who had two years back promised to give free smartphones to the youth of Punjab, and it was yet to be fulfilled.

Congress MLAs arriving for the session were embarrassed as the Akali leaders were giving dummy phones with caricature of Capt Amarinder Singh on it to them.

Majithia announced the dummy smartphones for journalists also, while highlighting its benefits.

Majithia said it has been two years since the Congress announced to give the phones to youth. Two Budget sessions have gone still the phones have not been given. The Congress has not fulfilled its poll promise, be it of the job to every household, the SAD leader alleged.

He said the Akalis were making effort to “wake up the Congress government”.
