An 'Aam Aadmi' Sends Arvind Kejriwal Rs 364 To Buy Shoes So That He Won't Embarrass India Again!

04 Feb, 2016 09:59 AM
Delhi CM received a Demand Draft worth Rs. 364 from a man named Sumit Aggarwal who collected this money from people while walking on roads.

An engineer from Visakhapatnam wrote an open letter to Arvind Kejriwal asking Aam Aadmi Party chief to buy a pair of shoes so that he won’t wear sandals on important occasion and embarrass the country.

Recently, Arvind Kejriwal was invited at the President’s dinner at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. French President Fancois Hollande was also present at the event.

Delhi chief minister was spotted wearing floaters at the event. Slamming Arvind Kejriwal, who tries to reflect the common Indian man through his choice of dressing, Sumit asked Delhi CM to learn common etiquette to meet a guest.

”I came across an article saying that you met Mr. Hollande at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, in the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, wearing sandals! It broke my heart to see you like this. I’m deeply aggrieved,” Sumit wrote expressing his anger over Kejriwal’s choice of footwear.

Sumit collected amount and send through a DD along with an open letter so that Arvind Kejriwal can buy new shoes. I took to the streets to gather money to fund a pair of footwear for you…I could only gather Rs. 364 for you.

Though such a modest amount is not enough for a Chief Minister, I believe any amount is good enough for the someone who claims that he has no shoes despite having a monthly salary of “only” Rs. 2,10,000,” wrote Sumit.

After collecting amount, Sumit made a DD in the name of Delhi Chief Minister and sent it through speed post. “I humbly request your good self to kindly accept this small contribution & use it to buy a nice pair of black formal shoes,” he wrote. Below is the complete transcript of Sumit Agarwal’s open letter:
