Amarinder Appointed Punjab Congress Election Panel Chief

    The Congress on Friday appointed Punjab unit chief Captain Amarinder Singh as chairman of its election eommittee in the state ahead of 2017 assembly elections.
     
    Senior leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal was appointed chairperson of the manifesto committee and Manpreet Singh Badal as head of the manifesto drafting xommittee.
     
    The committees for the 2017 elections were approved by party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi said in a statement here.
