Akali Dal constitutes 15-member manifesto committee for Lok Sabha polls

Chandigarh, April 3 (IANS) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday announced the formation of a 15-member manifesto committee for the Lok Sabha polls in Punjab for 13 seats slated on June 1.

He said the committee has 15 members and, in addition, six members have been added as special invitees, he added.
Palace on Wheels officials said that during normal journey, non-veg food and liquor are served in the train because many foreign as well as domestic tourists travel in it. The company will now remove non-veg food from the menu during the religious trips. Also, onion and garlic will not be used in the food to be served to the passengers.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Tuesday condemned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab for increasing stamp duty on loans sanctioned by banks as well as imposing a two per cent stamp duty on property transfer through power of attorney. Indian tourists do not need a visa for visiting Iran with a new policy coming into effect from February 4, according to a statement issued by the Embassy of Iran here on Tuesday. "Individuals holding ordinary passports will be allowed to enter Iran without a visa once every six months, with a maximum stay of 15 days," the Embassy said in a statement.
